Deacon John Wocken's
Second Grade Classroom

Hello!

Welcome to Dcn. Wocken's web page.  You will notice links below my photograph that will access other areas of my site that will help answer any questions you may have about what is going on in your child's classroom this year.  I'm glad to have you visit!

This is a very exciting year for the Second Graders as they take on more challenging work and become exposed to a large variety of new ideas and activities that will enhance them on their learning journey.  Particularly, this year your child will receive the sacraments of Reconciliation (forgiveness) and the Eucharist (thanksgiving) as they grow in love and faith of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  I am honored to be their guide as they move towards an understanding of the great love God has for them and the gift that the sacraments will be in their lives.

Our Faith Formation Offices for the River Cluster (our tri-parish community), and the Church of the Sacred Heart in Sauk Rapids will need to know if your child has been baptized and where that sacrament took place.  A copy of your child's baptismal certificate will be required if your son or daughter had been baptized in a church other than the Cathedral of St. Mary, the Church of St. Augustine, Christ Church Newman Center, or Sacred Heart in Sauk Rapids.

Please provide this information ASAP to your parish Faith Formation directors or to your child's classroom teacher.

I look forward to working with you and your child, and I pray that God's abundant blessings may be poured forth upon your families as we begin a new school year.

Peace be with you!
Deacon John R. Wocken
